DirectConnect, developed by Neo Modus, is one of the oldest file-sharing protocols still active.
It is a centralized network.
This protocol has no multi-source swarming, hashing system or connectivity of servers.
It is a closed protocol.
NOTE: aMule does not support this protocol.
