Corrupt stands for anything which isn't exactly the same as the original, whatever it is.

In the [FAQ_eD2k-Kademlia#What_is_ED2K?|eD2k network], it is usually referred to any file or chunk or part that has been altered in some byte (or bit) and is not the same as the original any longer.

Since the [FAQ_eD2k-Kademlia#What_is_ED2K?|eD2k network] is very sensible to data integrity, it detects 99% of the file corruptions. Hardly ever a corrupted file will be donwloaded through the [FAQ_eD2k-Kademlia#What_is_ED2K?|eD2k network] onless it was originally shared corrupted.
